You need to know to verify your account as the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006, requires TAB to verify the identity of every customer who opens a wagering account. This means they need to verify your full legal name, your date of birth and your current residential address.
When you open a TAB account you will ordinarily be sent for verification automatically through one or more electronic verification services (E-IDV).
 
To do so, TAB collects and discloses your full name, current residential address and date of birth to E-IDV suppliers (such as VIX Verify). These bodies then seek to match your details against records held in your name in various government and non-government databases, such as but not limited to:

• Driver licence;
• Passport;
• Australian Electoral Roll;
• Tenancy Roll;
• White Pages;
• ASIC; and
• Credit history records (noting this is not a credit check).

If your information contained in these databases is not up to date, it is possible that they will not be able to verify your identity.

To withdraw funds if you win you can use the following methods

Bank account – online withdrawal (min $10) will pay withdrawn funds into your nominated bank account. You can also add more than one bank account and you will be asked to choose which account next time you withdraw.

To withdraw funds you will need to present your Withdrawal Card.

If you don’t have a Withdrawal Card – you will need to present a Government Issued Photo ID (your photo ID will need to be registered to your TAB account). The staff at the Retail Venue can phone our Account Betting Contact Centre to register this card for you.

You can also use tab card A TAB Card enables you to place bets in-store on Self Service Terminals at TAB Retail Outlets. If you have a TAB Card that is not linked to your account, then you can  link your card to your account.

Alsothe easiest way to bet in cash. TAB Tappy allows you to build bets via the TAB app, create a barcode to scan in-store and pay in cash. TAB Tappy is currently available in Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory venues and TAB agencies.
