Create a BlackBerry ID using your computer

Have you got your latest Blackberry device or are you are getting ready to try out Black Berry Messenger, you’ll need to create a BlackBerry ID. BlackBerry ID allows you to access BlackBerry products, sites, services and applications, including BlackBerry Protect and the BlackBerry World storefront. It can also help you when switching devices by automatically transferring some of your email accounts and services, such as your BBM contact list, between smartphones.
Here with few simple steps you can create your won Blackberry ID with your computer.
From your computer, browse to www.bbid.com and click the link to Create a BlackBerry ID online.
Complete the required fields on the BlackBerry ID – Signup page.

Enter the following:

Your First & Last Name
Your Screen Name – The Screen Name is a unique display name used to provide a way to identify the BlackBerry user’s presence in various BlackBerry products and services without revealing any personal information.
Password – Passwords must be between 6 and 20 characters in length, and may contain letters (A-Z, a-z), numbers (0-9) and punctuation marks (^_#+^”?!=.{}~`&)
Username – The Username is the BlackBerry ID account login name as well as the account’s associated email address.
Enter your Password Recovery details
Password Recovery Question
Answer
Check the box to receive more information about BlackBerry products and services (optional)
Enter the verification code
Click Submit

A confirmation message will be displayed advising that the BlackBerry ID has been created successfully, click OK to continue. This will also send a confirmation email to the email address used for the accounts Username.

To confirm the email address, click the link within the email message and when prompted enter the BlackBerry ID password. Note: The link within the validation email will expire after a 72 hour period.
Confirming the BBID account helps to secure your BlackBerry ID account and ensure you are able to easily reset your password in future.
Applications that require a BlackBerry ID will also have a process to setup a new account from within the application.
It is recommended that the email address used for the Username, can be accessed through a computer browser to keep record of account notification emails.
